Oatmeal Spirulina Pancakes

A healthy morning treat for the kids!

Next time your kids are craving pancakes, shock them with these beautiful green oatmeal spirulina pancakes! The color is fun, the nutrition is even better! Spirulina is a great plant-based source of calcium and iron – essential nutrients for growth.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 banana

  • 2 tbsp real maple syrup

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4-1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tsp Earthrise Californian Spirulina

  • Pomegranate Seeds

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a blender, add almond milk, eggs, egg white, banana, maple syrup, vanilla, rolled oats, baking powder, salt, and spirulina.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Heat skillet over medium heat and pour pancake mix into the skillet in circles.

  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

  5. Drizzle with maple syrup and top with pomegranate seeds and whipped cream (optional).
