A healthy chicken Spirulina recipe grilled with the number one Spirulina on Earth. This lightly seasoned dish is perfect for a light dinner for chicken lovers.
Makes approximately 4 Servings.
2 Large Chicken Breasts, Boneless
1 Large Carrot
1 Green Onion, Chopped
1 Cup of Light Cream (Half & Half)
1 Cup of Warm Water
3 Tablespoons of Flour
1 Tablespoon Oil
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Tablespoon of Earthrise® Spirulina
1-1/2 teaspoons Paprika
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1/2 teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
Peel the carrots and slice into thin circles
In a saucepan, heat the water over a high heat to cook the carrots
Cut each chicken breast in half (remove white tendon) and cut each piece in half
Using a kitchen mallet, pound each piece until about 1/2″ thick
In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt and the pepper
Coat the chicken pieces with the flour mixture
In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil and butter
Cook the chicken pieces until lightly browned on all sides.
Add additional butter and / or olive oil if needed
Move the chicken to a serving dish
Turn the heat to medium and cook the onions until soft
Add the paprika and cook for 1 minute
Add the half and half while stirring constantly
Cook for 3 – 5 minutes until it gets thicker
Turn off the heat and add the Spirulina, whisking vigorously
Pour the sauce over the chicken and garnish with the carrot strips
Serve Chicken Spirulina with salad, potatoes, or rice.
